High blood pressure (140/90 or greater) and Proteinuria during pregnancy are the red flags indicating that preeclampsia may be developing.
If you have some of the folloeing symptoms:
- Swelling (edema), headache, nausea or vomiting
- Abdominal (stomach area) and/or shoulder pain
- Lower back pain, sudden weight gain, changes in vision
- Hyperreflexia, shortness of breath, anxiety
You should measure protein in your urine
